Venues Day 2017 Announces New Partners
Estrella Damm, Openstage and Jackpot Peanut Butter added to Venues Day supporters
Music Venue Trust is delighted to announce Openstage, Jackpot Peanut Butter, Help Musicians UK, White Light and Jack Daniel’s as the associate partners for Venues Day 2017 which will take place on Tuesday 17 October at Ministry of Sound, London. Estrella Damm join Ticketweb and UK Music as senior partners, providing the vital financial support to the event that enables Grassroots Music Venue delegates from across the country to attend the event with a FREE or subsidised ticket.
Since the first Venues Day event in December 2014, awareness of the precarious position in which the UK’s small independent venues find themselves has grown enormously. Music Venue Trust, the charity created to champion and protect the nation’s grassroots music, continues to lead this work and is putting together this year’s networking day for highlighting and discussing key issues in the sector.
Venues Day 2017 will feature a focus on developing relationships between Artists and Venues, strengthening ties between the Music Industry and the Grassroots Venue Touring Circuit, and exploring the role of digital and technical innovation. Artists have been invited to present special topics of interest in featured panels. A special new Speed Dating Area for Agents and Venues will enable venues from across the country that want to get new and emerging artists into their venues to spend ten minutes with the agents who represent those acts. Music Venue Trust has partnered with Deviate Digital to create a specific area to discuss emerging digital platforms, and to discuss how venues can shape and benefit from tech innovations, and long-term partners TicketWeb and Whitelight will present further developments on GrassrootsVenues.Tickets and Sound & Vision.
